Create/edit journal entry

You will be able to create a new journal entry from the Journal page. You can access this page using the navigation sidebar.

Click on the Create button to create a new journal entry. A new journal entry will be automatically created in your trading journal.

You can then start entering your trade details. Upon completion, click on the Exit edit mode link on the Actions column. Your journal data will be automatically bound to its respective fields.

In Edit mode, you will be shown the fields in which you can input your data :

  • Trade instrument (the instrument for that trade e.g. EUR/USD)

  • Trade direction (the direction for that trade e.g. BUY)

  • Order size (the size of the order for that trade e.g. 250,000)

  • Open price (the open price of the trade)

  • Open date (the date when the trade was opened)

  • P/L ($) (the profit/loss for that trade in terms of monetary value)

  • P/L (pips) (the profit/loss for that trade in terms of pips)

  • Trade session (the session that the trade was taken e.g. London)

  • Close price (the close price of the trade)

  • Close date (the date when the trade was closed)

  • TP/SL price levels (your take profit and stop loss price levels for that particular trade)

  • Comments (your comments regarding the trade e.g. the trade strategy etc)

  • Chart upload (upload a chart image file to accompany your trade entry)

Create / edit journal entry
